Survival What Does It Mean
In some of my readings of late I have read that some people think that survival means that being the biggest and baddest person around will get them by. Their or others who will band together with the shoot shovel and shut up to protect their families and friends when they are attacked. For most of us using books and information to aid in our survival, along with our family and friends, we will need to make new and varied alliances to survive when desaster strikes.
This last week I met a man who was putting his life on hold sitting along the side of the road selling stickers and tee shirts stating that our Constitution has been degrated because of Congresss laws and Presidents signings procumalations, causing us to lose a lot of our rights and freedoms. This man was met with both acceptance and rejection for stating these facts that a lot of people don,t want to hear. With out Constitional rights we will no longer live as a free nation but a slave to the power elete like Russia had and is moving away from. When desaster strikes the more rights you have the better your chance for survival.

Emergency Suvival kit
Your Emergency Suvival Kit is worthless if you can,t get to it. Where do you keep one of your most precious food and medical supplies?
If you hide them in a hard to get to place like a basement or attic you may not have immediate access to them when you need them. Depending where you live will dictate where you keep your bug out supplies. You should keep some supplies in your car, others in a closet on the way out of the house and for some it could the virtual wood pile in your yard. What ever you do keep your bug out supplies where you can get at them in a hurry. Don’t forget your car bug out bag and keep your car as full of gas as you can with no feul you won’t get very far.

Food Shortage
For those of you that think that the United States will have all the food you want at a reasonable price, maybe you should look at the unemployment rate in the United States of over 10% with the Mexicans going back to Mexico and a lot of people not looking for work the real unemployment is much higher than reported. There are some reports putting the unemployed and under employed closer to 20%. With Social Security and the Federal Retirement systems being in jeopardy, and a lot of states going broke with no money to pay for services and welfare . Where is your EmergencyFood Supply? The Above food supplies are just a few of the items that you may need to keep your family fed and warm. Don’t make the mistake that your Collective governments will bail you out. They all are going broke.

When Disaster Strikes
The Northern Arizona Navajo Nation was hit by an unusual large snow storm with the State of Arizona, President of the United States, and the Navajo Nation all declaring a state of emergency. It was still a week later before they sent for snowmobiles to help with their rescue. These Indians who lived in remote places were cutting down power poles, tearing trim and porches off their homes for heat. There were a lot of them who were running out of basic food supplies. With knowledge that at any given time in the United States there is 5,000 People with out power, you can start preparing with Books and Information like the one pictured.
The Navajo family I helped was use to living with out power an were willing to snow shoe five miles one way to feed their livestock. Are you ready to survive in a time of an Emergency or are you just going to let your Government save you when they can get organized?

What happened to the people in Haiti when the Earth Quake left their survival to chance not choice? With their government and normal food supply destroyed leaving a lot of them without food and clean water for more than a week. To day is the day that a lot of people make new years resolutions maybe you should make yours about buying emergency sulpplies balk food.
By starting now you will help your self offset the rapidly increasing cost of food. I also just found out the our Government has just increased the tax on tires and that this will increase the price of tires to as much as double in the next few months because of this 17% increase in taxes.
When you consider buying bulk goods you should look into paper goods like toilet paper because these items are the first to go when there is a run on the stores.

Generators For Home Use
Generators for use in the home. When selecting a generator for use in your home you need to consider your type of usage. You may also consider the backup of Wind Energy for continuous power as part of your system. If you are looking at short outages you can use a smaller generator to keep a few lights on and the refrig running. For those of you that have water pumps you will need a generator that will produce 208 single phase power.
I Don’t recommend trying to power your house, with out having an isolation switch for the generator. Other wise when the power comes on you will lose your generator or shock someone who is trying to restore your power. With out this switch you will also try to power your neighbor hood. The best and safest is for you to run extension cords to each applliance until the power comes on.
