The New Laws And You

To those of you that think that you can just leave the United States  and take your money with you, you should check out the new laws that allow you to take only 50% of your money.  Their is another law that is either passed or in congress now that says if you protest against United State laws that FEMA can arrest and convict you with out a trial.  With all the new laws being placed upon us we are losing our Constitution and Bill of Rights at the fastest rate in our history.51VGKFXTX9L__SL125_51DvewR6-xL__SL210_  When You use Books and Information you also need to check your information through the computer when looking up your information make sure you have a reputable source.  When you have trying times don’t for get your spiritual life.

Generators

When we discuss emergency Solar Energy Systems we should remember that for constant power like for pumps, heating devices, motors, an other large power consuming devices a generator may work best for you.41hWc3F6DnL__SL125_51RFQPYMZWL__SL210_

The best way to determine what size of generator  you will need is by checking the amount of wattage on the equipment power plates  and add up the total wattage they consume.  At the same time check the voltage that the equipment uses which is also on the power plates.  When you have this information the next step is to use this formula:

wattage found total X 1.(2x your elevation in 1000ft)x1.2 safety margin for generator=size of generator needed.

example: wattage found=2500watts and your at 5500ft elevation

                                   2500watts x 1.(2×5.5)x1.2=

                                  2500wattsx1.11×1.2=3300watt generator

This formula will tell you the smallest generator that you will need to operate your equipment.  You will also need to make sure your generator will supply the correct voltage 110ac volts and or 220ac volts.  For a solar system you don’t need the elevation correction.

Lighted Vest

When I was on the interstate highway the other day I had a flat tire. This  reminded me how dangerous it is to be close to traffic.  The first thing that a person should remind himself in time of stress,  like a flat tire, you should think about safety first and get as far off the highway as a safety factor.  If  it is at night, for work or an Emergency, you should consider a Vest that will light up.41Y5W84ENnL__SL125_51sMxAR1XJL__SL125_

This Vest for day or night with a LED lamp and some sort of auto emergency kit will give the safety and tools to get through your emergency.  The one thing that I learned while I was helping to build a bridge over a Rail Road was that as much noise as a train makes its speed  will let it slip up on you with out notice.   So if your next to a road be extremely safe and visible the next driver may be distracted.

Food Shortage

Solar Systems

When you design your Solar Energy Systems You will need a solar system with panels, regulator and battery storage.  This simple system will allow you to have a DC out put and be able to operate 12 vdc or 24 vdc equipment.  You will need to have an inverter if you want to have 120vac house voltage.41BPoZFs6pL__SL210_  To design a system that you need it is best to have knowlege from someone who knows what type of power you need.  One way is to read from a book like this one.61cjgIhP5NL__SL75_

21LpuiUxxWL__SL210_You will also need a Battery  system,  what I  found  is that two 6v batteries will have more power and last longer than two 12v batteries.  When buying deep cycle batteries talk to more than one company sales man to find the best batteries for your system.

Light In The Night

I arrived home in the dark last knight and where I live their are no street lights and I hadn’t left my porch light on.  This is no problem I just reached into the glove box and brought my trusty  Headlamp which was still on from the last time I used it.41iX0s3CyaL__SL210_

This could of been a complet black out if  this was with a regular flash light.  With the LED head lamp I still had enough light to see my keys and the door lock to get into my house.  I don’t know how long this head lamp was on but at least a week.

If  you are like me in the morning and like to wake up to a great cup of coffee.  It makes sense to have a coffee pot that grinds and makes its own.  With one of these grind and brew coffee makers you will be able to mix to your own taste.   To some of us coffee is an Emergency Supply when it comes to waking up with a smile.41H3WHJV70L__SL210_With this coffee pot you can grind your coffee and make  it, all with just one unit, saving you counter space.  Now  you need to start the morning with the best coffee made to your taste.

Camping with Solar 5

When my wife and I go camping, we like to do so in style. That means rolling into a national park in our RV, going for extended day hikes and eventually retiring to the comfort of our camper van. For us, comfort and luxury do not necessarily equate to wastefulness. We recognize the need to generate the power required to run our appliances and various RV amenities.

We did some research and found that RV solar panels can harness energy from the sun, and that energy can be converted into usable AV power. I bought a solar energy system online and immediately set to work installing the panels and rigging them to the rest of the system. Our next vacation will be to the deserts of the American Southwest, so it shouldn’t be hard to attract all the necessary sunlight.

Gas and Electric Costs Got You Down?

solar-power-systemsHave you ever taken a look at your heating or electrical bill and nearly fainted dead away? Fossil fuel costs continue to skyrocket as the planet’s supply of petroleum dwindles. It might not hurt to make a conscientious switch to wood-burning stoves or perhaps even cutting-edge solar energy systems. Depending on the area where you live and the solar panel’s level of sophistication, it might be possible to heat and power your house without relying on the grid.

In some cases, power companies will let you connect your solar energy system to the electrical grid. If you cannot generate enough power in a given month from solar energy, you can still draw from the grid. If you generate a surplus, however, the power company might even offer you a credit. That strategy certainly beats paying the same exorbitant fees for gas and electric.
